Exhibition 2017 - Exhibitors Information

Date:Saturday 22nd April 2017. Open to the public from 10am to 4pm.

Venue:Church Stretton School, Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton, SY6 6EX.

The venue has been used for our last two shows and has proved an ideal site. It is popular with exhibitors and the viewing public, and in 2016 we had over 400 visitors. There is ample parking and convenient access (including full disabled access to all the exhibition area) for exhibitors and visitors.

Exhibitors’ and traders’ access:The school will be available for setting up of exhibits/stands from midday on Friday 21st till about 8 p.m. Also from 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Facilities for layouts and trade stands:There is ample parking close to unloading areas. Club members will be on hand to assist with unloading/loading if required. We will need to know in advance the requirements for setting up your exhibit/ stand, i.e. space, number of electrical sockets and the need for tables/chairs. This will enable us to mark out and set up a space for each layout/stand prior to your arrival. Exhibitor’s badges will be provided.

Exhibition programme:This year we hope to be able to offer a simple programme to visitors, so would like a short description of your layout or details of the range of items on your trade stand.

Guest layouts and demonstrators:On Saturday we will provide a lunch of sandwiches etc, and operators will be offered unrestricted free tea and coffee throughout the day. Additional food (cakes, etc.) will be available for purchase. For catering purposes we will need to know the size of your operating team.

We have previously had requests for a commemorative plaque to show exhibitors’ attendance. We are investigating this and hope to be able to offer such to each guest layout at this exhibition.

Expenses for guest layouts:We appreciate the time and effort involved in attending exhibitions, and we are very happy to pay reasonable expenses to exhibitors. However, to avoid any unpleasant surprises for either party we will need to know, before confirming attendance, what expenses you anticipate.

Trade stands:Trade stands play an important part in establishing a successful exhibition. We welcome traders offering a range of products, but will try to ensure there is minimal duplication and competition.

Trade stands will be charged according to the space required. Our rate is £10 per six-foot table or the equivalent thereof for self-supporting stands. To ensure a good balance it may be necessary to limit the size of space we are able to offer.

Booking arrangements:Subject to the above, we would like to confirm bookings as soon as possible. If you agree to attend and then circumstances change please let us know at the earliest opportunity. About six weeks before the show we will contact you again to check that there is no problem with your attendance, and to confirm your requirements.
